Grandson, AJ, is probably my favorite subject.  This one is already obsolete.  It's him in the winter of 2007 at 21 years old.  The circles are for bike wheels that span a keyboard.  He's the only one who plays the piano. But he makes his own music riding in bike races & competitions.
AJ is a free spirit with both a wild fun-loving adventurous side and a brooding introspective side.   Grandson, AJ, is 20 in this portrait of his two sides,
both much older than his actual age.
This is my friend Gail's granddaughter at 14.
Armon, Tony to his friends,  has a spiritual glow.
Meet Pete.  He just showed up one day.   Pete runs like the wind and loves to play.
This is one of my first abstract paintings and this one is done in acrylics....also new for me in 2008... This is in the Longleaf Arts & Crafts gallery in Wallace in the restored ACL Depot in Wallace, North Carolina
Jeweliana is my neighbor's little 7 year old spitfire.
These cats were from separate photographs.  It was ordered as a gift for a spouse for his birthday..
Inspired by a new foal in a pasture with his mother, this is a triple image.  So look deeply.
Here's Sandy done Summer '08
Buck's horses

Adapted from Revelations' Four Horsemen, this colorful painting attracts people to it.
This  was commissioned.  It was delivered 11/18/08
I love fog and hoards of blackbirds.  This painting evolved from a photo of blackbirds that levitated and settled again on a harvested cornfield.
Myrtle Beach, SC is the inspiration for these cresting breakers and waving oat grass. Prints are available.
Here's another painting of blackbirds in early morning fog.
Dark Water is an artistic adaptation of a photo I took from the floating dock behind the Holland Shelter Creek Restaurant on Highway 53 between Burgaw and Jacksonville, NC.  If you know the place, you'll recognize "Dark Water."
I took the photo myself and the painting is very loose. Prints are for sale at the Longleaf Arts & Crafts Guild Gallery/Shop in the restored Depot in Wallace, NC
